The month is already halfway over, but I’m hoping to finish (if not at least start) all of these books before September ends:
- Notes on Complexity: A Scientific Theory of Connection, Consciousness, and Being by Neil Theise — Making an attempt to learn a little more about the science of how complex systems behave. Been a minute since I’ve stretched my mind out a little.
- Doppelganger: A Trip Into the Mirror World by Naomi Klein — I’ve been looking forward to this one for months. Klein takes on being confused for Naomi Wolf, amongst other things.
- The Free People’s Village by Sim Kern — This takes place in an alternate 2020, where Al Gore won the election, and declared a War on Climate Change. But the world’s still not a utopia. Figures, right? Punks, green infrastructure, and anti-capitalism? Sign me up!
- You Deserve A Tech Union by Ethan Marcotte — I’m trying to convince my cohosts over at WPwatercooler to kick off our (not yet launched) book club show by doing this title first.
Between my library cards and the various audiobook subscription services that I pay for, I’ve got at least fifty more books sitting on my “to read” pile right now. Still, these are the ones at the top of my pile.
